The capital of Khanh Hoa Province, Nha Trang is a coastal city located in Central Vietnam. Its stunning, clean beaches and excellent diving resources attract a large number of tourists every year.

Nha Trang is also an important city along the North-South Railway. The train station that serves this city is Nha Trang Railway Station, which is small, yet is one of the busiest stations in the country.

Nha Trang Railway Station is located in the heart of the city, just beside Nha Trang Cathedral, a landmark and the largest church in Nha Trang.

Nha Trang Railway Station was built in 1836 during the French colonial period. It has retained its French architectural style and is considered to be one of the most beautiful stations in Vietnam.

The city of Nha Trang is well-connected to other cities by rail. Trains from Nha Trang to Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang, Hue, and Hanoi depart from this station every day.

It takes 6–12 hours to get from this city to Da Nang and around 30 hours to reach Hanoi.

Nha Trang Railway Station is well-equipped with facilities for travelers’ convenience. A Wi-Fi service, grocery store, and waiting lounges are available. There are stalls selling local snacks and drinks on the platform.

Transportation to Nha Trang Railway Station

Nha Trang is a mall city with only a few public bus routes.

The most convenient means of transportation for short journeys is a motorbike taxi (xe om). You can easily find a motorbike taxi almost anywhere in the city.

For long journeys, such as from Nha Trang Railway Station to other cities or surrounding towns, you can take a bus or an open tour bus.

Taking a taxi is a comfortable choice for short and long journeys. The starter rate is approximately VND 5,000 to 10,000.
