- Cable car fees: RMB100 per person for one-way, RMB140 per person for round trip.
- Lunch expenses: Approximately RMB 60 per capita, depending on appetite.
- Tipping for guide & driver: Recommended at a 2:1 ratio for excellent service (usually RMB 50-100 per person).
- Accommodation and any additional personal expenses during the tour.
- Airport transfers.
Cancelation Policy
- Cancellations received 21 or more days before the festival day will be eligible for a full refund of the tour.
- Cancellations made from 0 to 20 days before the festival day are non-refundable.
- If the celebration is canceled, the ticket cost will be donated to charity and not refunded.
- No-show travelers are non-refundable.
Itinerary Details
10:30 am - 12:30 pm: Hotel pickup and transfer to Mutianyu Great Wall
You'll be picked up from your hotel between 10:30 am and 11:00 am. The drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall takes approximately 1½ hours. Before ascending the wall, you'll have a lunch break. Lunch is not included in the tour price. There are some fast food restaurant options on Subway, and MC Donald in the spots. Most customers purchase takeout from Subway or Burger King and enjoy a picnic on the Great Wall.
12:30 pm - 3:30 pm: Visit the Great Wall at Mutianyu
Mutianyu is the most well-preserved section of the Great Wall, and visitors can see the original appearance of the Great Wall, including the majestic watchtowers and the city walls made of layers of bricks and stones.
The cable car ascends to and descends from the 14th watchtower. From there, you can walk east to the 23rd watchtower, which is part of the most scenic area of the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. You need to pay an additional cable car ride (the one-way ticket price is 100 yuan and the round-trip ticket price is 140 yuan per person) at your own expense.
3:30 pm - 6:00 pm: Transfer Back to Your Hotel in Beijing
Following your tour in Beijing, the return trip to your hotel typically takes around 2 hours, as does the journey to Beijing train stations. Traveling from Mutianyu to Beijing Capital Airport also requires approximately 2 hours. If you have a flight or train to catch afterward, we are more than happy to assist with planning.
